City of Orillia LogoAs per the direction of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, the posting of Moose Beach, located at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park, has been lifted. Moose Beach was posted on July 20, 2017, due to higher than normal bacteria count. All three swimming areas in Orillia are open for swimming. City of Orillia LogoAs per the direction of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, Moose Beach, located at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park in Orillia, has been posted due to higher than normal bacteria count. Beaches are posted when bacteria levels exceed those considered acceptable by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. Boat TrailerStarting July 29, 2017, designated boat trailer parking will take effect and will only be available in two specific lots: the former CPR right-of-way, north of the existing refreshment vehicles adjacent Centennial Dr. and in the City-owned gravel lot off of Tecumseth St., behind the Royal Oak Restaurant (see key map).
