Public Notice:  Submitting Correspondence to Council for Agendas

The City of Orillia collects personal information in your communications to Orillia City Council or its Committees under the Municipal Act, 2001.  This information is collected to enable Council and/or its Committees to make informed decisions on the relevant issue(s).  Individuals who make submissions to Council should be aware that any personal information in their communications may become part of the public record and may be made available through the Council agenda process which includes publication on the City's website.

NEW

Correspondence that is received and not directly addressed to Council, but copied to Council, is stamped with a "Not for Agenda - Information Only (NFAIO)" stamp and distributed to Council on a weekly basis.  Council members may request, at any time, that a NFAIO item be placed on the next Council agenda under "Correspondence."

Examples of possible NFAIO items are general invitations, notices, resolutions from other municipalities, time sensitive material that cannot wait for the next agenda and other miscellaneous items.

These NFAIO packages will be placed on the City's website every Friday.
