Parks & Recreation

The City of Orillia Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for a variety of recreation and leisure opportunities, and is instrumental in organizing many sport tourism initiatives. These programs and services preserve and enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.

The Parks and Recreation Department includes 33 full-time employees and about 125 contract/casual employees. As a team, the staff works with different organizations to identify and fulfill the recreational needs of the citizens of Orillia.
