Removal of Bus Shelter - 1095 Mississaga St W

Effective Monday February 9, 2026, the transit shelter located at 1095 Mississaga St W will be removed due to safety concerns. This shelter will be replaced in 2026 as part of the City's annual shelter program.

Warm up from the cold

Environment and Climate Change Canada issued an extreme cold warning as colder conditions will begin this evening into the weekend, with wind chills near -30°C to -35°C

If you need a warm place to go this weekend, the following temporary warming centres are available:

• Orillia Public Library (36 Mississaga St. W.): See the hours of operation
• Orillia Recreation Centre (255 West St. S.): 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Orillia's overnight warming centre (360 West St S,) is open 24/7 until April 30, 2026, learn more.

Special Council Meeting - March 30, 2026

A Special Council Meeting regarding Tax Appeals has been scheduled on  Monday, March 30, 2026 at 1:45 PM at the Orillia City Centre Council Chamber.  A portion of this meeting may be held in closed session.

2026 Interim Tax bills for the City of Orillia have been mailed.

Installment dates are: March 15, 2026 and May 15, 2026

If you have not received your bill please contact the Finance Division at 705-329-7239.

Failure to receive the tax bill does not relieve the property owner from payment of taxes or liability for penalty for late payment.
