New collectible store opens in downtown Orillia

There is a new collectibles store in downtown Orillia.
The Cave Collectibles recently opened in the lower level of Becker Shoes at 33 Mississaga St. E.
“We offer an array of various collectibles. Our most popular brands are Pokémon, Star Wars, Magic: The Gathering, Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh! We have all the collectible cards, figures, and plush,” says owner Cameron MacDonald.

Just as its name suggests, The Chocolate Kingdom serves up “pretty much everything and anything chocolate,” said Brianna Lawder, who co-owns the downtown business with her husband, Paul Todish.
The shop specializes in delectable creations known as “smashables” — a chocolate shell filled with a range of chocolate-dipped items, from strawberries and Oreos to pretzels and sour keys.

Mom, dance teacher opens dance boutique in Orillia's downtown

Orillia’s one-stop dance shop, Ballare the Dance Boutique, is finally getting its feet off the ground after opening right before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Christina Wagg-Marwick believes she is the perfect person to own a dance store in Orillia; she has two daughters who are competitive dancers, and she herself has been a dance teacher for 18 years.
Prior to the opening of the local store, dancers were forced to do their shopping in Barrie or Newmarket, she said.
