Orillia scores high in national small business survey
ORILLIA - The City of Orillia is among the top entrepreneurial communities in the country according to an annual survey conducted by the Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses (CFIB).
Orillia ranked 34th in the CFIB’s fifth annual ‘Communities in Boom’ study, which compared more than 100 Canadian cities with a population of more than 25,000 for positive factors related to fostering the development of small business.

Tourism Roundtable Report Completed

In March, 2012 City Council directed the Orillia Economic Development Committee to work with the Orillia Hotel Association to engage a facilitator to consult with Orillia and area tourism stakeholders to discuss the delivery of tourism promotion services.
BrainTrust Marketing and Communications was retained to work with the roundtable to facilitate discussions of opportunities for roundtable members to work more effectively to enhance tourism service delivery and marketing of Orillia and Area.
