City of Orillia administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 for Canada Day. This includes:
- Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.)
- Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.)
- Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.)
- Water Filtration Plant (200 Bay St.)
- Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.)
Orillia Transit/OWLS: No service on Tuesday, July 1.

Orillia to open cooling centres June 23 and 24 due to heat warning

For immediate release (June 22, 2025) – Due to the heat warning in place, the City of Orillia will open air-conditioned cooling and hydration centres for public use on June 23 and 24, 2025. The City encourages anyone – especially those susceptible to extreme heat – to make use of the centres. The cooling centres will remain open until the heat warning is lifted.
