The City of Orillia is requesting your assistance in selecting the best locations for upcoming Audible Pedestrian Signals.
The Accessibility Advisory Committee, in conjunction with the City's Public Works Department, is reviewing the Audible Pedestrian Signal locations within the City of Orillia. Please complete a survey to help prioritize the locations where the signals should be installed.

Over 30 Employers Expected to Attend Orillia Job Fair

With the Orillia ‘Spring into Action’ Job Fair less than a week away, many local employers are busy preparing for the event, which will take place at the Orillia Square Mall on Tuesday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Participating employers are offering a range of opportunities such as health care, lawn care and maintenance, seasonal tourism and manufacturing. Postings also represent a diverse set of skill requirements from entry level to highly skilled positions.

Winter Active Events Postponed until Family Day Weekend

Due to unsafe ice conditions and lack of snow, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture’s weekend of FREE winter activities originally scheduled for January 18-20, 2013 will be postponed until February’s Family Day weekend.
The postponement will hopefully allow the ice to thicken and the snow to deepen ensuring that the events will be safe and fun for everyone who wants to get outdoors and get active! The Annual Snowflake Run will proceed as scheduled on Sunday January 20, 2013....

The City is seeking public input on the development of a neighbourhood park on the former Hillcrest School site. The Parks, Recreation and Culture Department invites the community to share its ideas and suggestions during a series of public workshops about the park development.
