Laclie Transit Route temporarily suspended for triathlon on Aug. 14

For immediate release (Aug. 2, 2016) – The City of Orillia will temporarily suspend service to the Laclie Transit Route on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016 from 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. to accommodate the Subaru Triathlon Series.
“We apologize for any inconvenience that the temporary Laclie Transit Route suspension poses to patrons,” said George Bowa, Director of Public Works for the City of Orillia. “We want to ensure that the Subaru Triathlon is carried out in a safe and controlled manner.”

For immediate release (July 27, 2016) – Mayor Steve Clarke presented five local organizations with grants today as part of the City’s 2016 grants program.
“Every time we hold one of these grant presentations, I learn more about the wonderful work local volunteers are doing in our community,” said Mayor Steve Clarke. “It is because of people and organizations such as these that Orillia is such a great place to live.”
