Compliance limits drive upgrades to the Orillia Wastewater Treatment Centre

For immediate release (June 8, 2016) – The City of Orillia will be completing significant upgrades to its Wastewater Treatment Centre (WWTC) over the next year-and-a-half in order to reduce the amount of phosphorus entering into Lake Simcoe.

Orillia on track for awarding recreation project tender this summer

For immediate release (June 7, 2016) – The City of Orillia is moving full steam ahead towards awarding tender for its recreation facility project at 255 West St. S. this summer.

Council prequalified general contractors, mechanical, electrical and pool sub-contractors at its meeting on Monday, June 6, 2016, authorizing them to bid on the recreation project tender scheduled for release late June. It is anticipated the $50.6 million project tender will be awarded in late July.
