Annual water main maintenance underway

The City of Orillia is conducting water main maintenance in specific areas throughout the city starting this week through to the end of September. Water main maintenance includes a procedure known as swabbing, which is performed annually to ensure water quality is maintained.

The City is looking to develop financial incentives to encourage new and expanded development in and around Orillia’s downtown as part of the Downtown Tomorrow Community Improvement Plan (CIP). Registration is now open for the fifth annual Orillia & Lake Country Business Expo, taking place in the Casino Rama Ballrooms on Oct. 22, 2015.
“This event has grown to become a tremendous success over the past five years,” said Ken Forbes, Chair of the Expo Organizing Committee. “Last year exhibitor space sold out early and we filled the venue with more than a hundred local businesses; we expect to do so again this year.”
