The City of Orillia would like to thank everyone who attended Tuesday night’s public information session regarding the City’s potential investment opportunity with Hydro One.
With such a large turnout, the City quickly shifted formats from the planned open house to a panel discussion and question and answer session with members of the City’s transition team, Hydro One representatives, and Orillia Power Corporation executives in the Council Chamber.

The City of Orillia has won a Gold Municipal Diversion Award from the Recycling Council of Ontario (RCO) for a second year in a row.
The award recognizes municipalities that have minimized waste disposal in 2014 through ‘3Rs’ initiatives (reduce, reuse, recycle), and is judged by a number of industry experts. Former Sundial Inn site to get new life as retirement residence

Members of City Council, staff and project developers were on hand for the official sod turning of a retirement residence development on the site of a former iconic Orillia landmark.
The Sundial Inn property along Highway 11 is being transformed into a four-storey private retirement residence overlooking Lake Couchiching. The retirement residence should be operational by fall of 2016.

Mayor Steve Clarke presented the final installment of the 2015 City of Orillia grants program on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015.
This third round of presentations concludes the 2015 grants program, which had a total budget of $64,500.
