Recycle household batteries at the curb the week of Nov. 2 – 6

Divert your spent household batteries from landfill by placing them at the curb for recycling pickup during the week of Nov. 2 – 6, 2015.
Coinciding with the week following daylight savings time, the City of Orillia is encouraging residents to place their old batteries (AA, AAA, D, button batteries, etc.) in sealed, clear plastic bags on top of their paper recycling box. They will be picked up on your regular collection day and sent for recycling.

Coldwater Road opens tonight

The Coldwater Road reconstruction project is nearing completion and will be open to the public as of Oct. 16 at 6 p.m.
During the next two weeks, there will be periodic lane closures to accommodate the installation of the pedestrian rail along the new retaining wall and to complete some minor outstanding items. Traffic will be controlled by flagging during these lane closures and motorists may experience some minor delays.
