Tenant faces smoke alarm related charge

For immediate release (May 21, 2015) – A tenant of a property at 114 Elgin Street in Orillia has been charged under the Provincial Offences Act for disabling a smoke alarm.
“Building owners and tenants must both understand that it is their responsibility to ensure that working smoke alarms are installed, maintained and working where required,” said Orillia Fire Chief Ralph Dominelli. “To disable or fail to maintain smoke alarms will result in charges.”

For immediate release (May 20, 2015) – The City of Orillia is inviting the community to learn more about a recreation facility proposed for 255 West Street South at an upcoming open house, scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, at the Orillia City Centre.
