For immediate release (Aug. 11, 2023) – The City of Orillia would like to remind community members and visitors that the natatorium (aquatic area) at the Orillia Recreation Centre will be undergoing annual maintenance beginning on Aug. 19, 2023.

City of Orillia administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023 for the Civic Holiday. This includes:
Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.)
Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.)
Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.)
Water Filtration Plant (200 Bay St.)
Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.)
Hours of operation for other City facilities/services include:
Orillia Transit/OWLS: No service on Monday, Aug. 7.

Extended hours offer more ways than ever to access City services
For immediate release (Aug. 1, 2023) – The City of Orillia is excited to launch an enhanced service pilot project, including extended hours for accessing many services.

For immediate release (July 31, 2023) – The City of Orillia has received notice from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that the swimming advisory at Moose Beach, located at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park, has been lifted.
The swimming advisory was issued by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit on July 25, 2023, due to higher-than-normal bacteria counts.
All three swimming areas in Orillia are now open for swimming. This includes Couchiching Beach, Moose Beach and Portage Bay.
