Canada Day Holiday Schedule 2024

City of Orillia administrative offices will be closed on Monday, July 1, 2024 for Canada Day. This includes:
- Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.)
- Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.)
- Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.)
- Water Filtration Plant (200 Bay St.)
- Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.)
Hours of operation for other City facilities/services include:
Orillia Transit/OWLS: No service on Monday, July 1.
Orillia Recreation Centre (255 West St. S.): Open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Water Smart Day pivoting to Orillia Recreation Centre due to weather

For immediate release (June 21, 2024) – Due to inclement weather in the forecast for Saturday, June 22, 2024, the City of Orillia has modified Water Smart Day activities originally scheduled at Couchiching Beach. The event will now take place on June 22 at the Orillia Recreation Centre at 255 West St. S. using the aquatic facilities.
The event will run from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Activities include water smart games, rescue and safety demonstrations, lifejacket clinic, a colouring station and more....
