Orillia 2022 Municipal Election Day is Monday, Oct. 24

For immediate release (Oct. 19, 2022) – The City of Orillia 2022 Municipal Election Day is Monday, Oct. 24 and the City of Orillia Election Team wants voters to have all the information they need to cast their ballot.
Four of the five Advance Vote Days are now complete, with one final Advance Vote opportunity on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Orillia Recreation Centre, 255 West St. S. A total of 3,038 voters have voted to date ahead of Election Day.

The road will be closed at 473 Bay Street on Friday, October 21, 2022 between Fittons Road East and Drinkwater Drive from 10am to 4pm for a sanitary forcemain repair. Detour Book 7 - Fittons Road East to Maple Drive to Drinkwater Drive.

For immediate release (Oct. 20, 2022) – Residents are encouraged to place used batteries at the curb for special collection during the week following Daylight Saving Time.
From Nov. 7 – 12, 2022, residents can set out spent household batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V, button batteries, etc.) in a sealed clear plastic bag, such as a Ziploc bag, and place it on top of their recycling box for paper.
