Power has been restored to City of Orillia municipal facilities, including the Orillia Recreation Centre and the Orillia Opera House. Regular programming will resume as scheduled.

City of Orillia administrative offices are closed on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022 for Labour Day. This includes:
- Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.)
- Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.)
- Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.)
- Orillia Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.)
- Orillia Opera House (20 Mississaga St. W.) – The Box Office phone line will be closed. Tickets are available 24/7 at orilliaoperahouse.ca.
- Orillia Public Library (36 Mississaga St. W.)
Orillia Transit/OWLS – No service...

Couchiching Beach swimming advisory lifted Aug. 26

For immediate release (Aug. 26, 2022) – The City of Orillia has received notice from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that the swimming advisory at Couchiching Beach, located at Couchiching Beach Park, has been lifted.
A swimming advisory was issued by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit on Aug. 25, 2022 due to a higher than normal bacteria count.
All three swimming areas in Orillia are now open for swimming. This includes Couchiching Beach, Moose Beach and Portage Bay.
