Sport tourism workshop comes to Orillia

The Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance (CSTA) in conjunction with the City of Orillia, the Orillia Sports Council, and the Ontario Trillium Foundation, is holding a one-day sport tourism workshop on Friday Nov. 15, 2013 at Rotary Place.

With snow and ice just around the corner, the City of Orillia is ready for Old Man Winter.
“Through our winter control program, the City’s goal is to keep our roads and sidewalks clear, so people can get to their destination safely,” said Mayor Angelo Orsi. “Being prepared with the proper equipment, and along with our dedicated staff, the City will strive to deliver this much needed service promptly and efficiently.”

Maclean’s University Rankings Place Lakehead in Canada’s Top 10

Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 – Thunder Bay and Orillia, ON
Maclean’s magazine’s annual University Rankings places Lakehead in second place among Ontario’s primarily undergraduate universities. When compared to all Canadian universities in this category, Lakehead climbed two spots from last year’s results to rank tenth overall.
When the rankings are broken down, Lakehead is first in Ontario in:
