Parks, Recreation and Culture Department Offers Special Programming this Friday

In the wake of labour disruption at local schools, the City of Orillia Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is providing a special one-day camp on Friday, December 14, 2012.
The department’s energetic and qualified staff will provide a day of fun and excitement for campers. Participants will have the opportunity to do arts and crafts and engage in physical activities such as skating and a mini-stick hockey tournament.

More Energy-Efficiency Accolades for Rotary Place, City Receives $24,910 from Union Gas

The City of Orillia has once again been recognized for its energy efficiency efforts at Rotary Place. Today, it received a rebate of $24,910 from Union Gas Limited.
Since it opened in 2010, Rotary Place has used high-efficiency natural gas technology to help reduce its environmental footprint. The energy saved is enough to heat 125 homes for an entire year.
