Smooth call centre transition keeps jobs in Orillia

In the summer of 2013, news that TeleTech was laying off 350 employees cast a pall over the city. However, the dire situation created an opening for Nordia, a Quebec-based subsidiary of Bell Canada, which was looking to expand its call centre business.

For immediate release (September 25, 2014) – Working smoke alarms can make a life-saving difference in a fire. That’s the message behind this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives: Test Yours Every Month!”
