Car made in Orillia area used in new Robocop movie

A unique car, custom-built by hand in Orillia, is featured in the big-budget Hollywood film, Robocop, which hits North American theatres this week.

Greening Orillia’s apartments and condominiums

Apartments and condominiums in the City of Orillia have successfully gone green.
On Sept. 1, 2013, all 48 apartments and condominiums on the City’s garbage bin service were required to offer green bin collection to their tenants if they wanted to maintain City garbage collection. At the beginning of the apartment program, the setout rate of green bins was approximately 45 per cent based on setout data provided by Mid Ontario Disposal. This rate has since increased to 60 per cent.
