City launches customer service survey

Residents and visitors are encouraged to participate in a brief survey to evaluate the level of customer service offered by the City of Orillia. The survey is available until August 31, 2014.

Laclie Transit Route temporarily suspended for triathlon on August 17

The City of Orillia will temporarily suspend service to the Laclie Transit Route on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. to accommodate the Subaru Triathlon Series.
“We apologize for any inconvenience that the temporary Laclie Transit Route suspension poses to patrons,” said George Bowa, Director of Public Works for the City of Orillia. “We want to ensure that the Subaru Triathlon is carried out in a safe and controlled manner.”

The Orillia and Area Community Development Corp. is lending support to the effort to woo doctors.Under a program developed in consultation with Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, newly recruited physicians establishing medical practices in the area will have access to business start-up coaching and financing.
