Warming stations open Tuesday, January 13, at City facilities

For immediate release (January 13, 2015) – In response to an Extreme Cold Warning issued for the Orillia area, the City of Orillia has opened warming stations today for community members in need.
This includes the following facilities;
- Orillia Public Library, 36 Mississaga Street West – 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Rotary Place, 100 University Avenue – 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight).
- Orillia City Centre, 50 Andrew Street South – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For immediate release (January 12, 2015) – The Orillia Police Services Board is pleased to announce that Inspector Pat Morris has been appointed the new Orillia OPP Detachment Commander.

For immediate release (January 7, 2015) – In response to an Extreme Cold Warning issued for the Orillia area, the City of Orillia has opened warming stations today for community members in need.
This includes the following facilities;
- Orillia Public Library, 36 Mississaga Street West – Open until 8:00 p.m.

Laclie Transit Route temporary suspension January 11

For immediate release (January 6, 2015) – The City of Orillia will temporarily suspend a portion of the Laclie Transit Route on Sunday, January 11 from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. to accommodate the CANI Run Snowflake Series race.
During the suspension, transit stops located on Jarvis Street, Bay Street, Maple Drive, Francis Road, and Hughes Road will be out of service.
Regular service to the Laclie Transit Route will resume on Sunday, January 11 from 11:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
