Posting of Couchiching Beach lifted

For immediate release (August 15, 2014) – As per the direction of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, the posting of Couchiching Beach, located at Couchiching Beach Park, has been lifted.
Couchiching Beach was posted on August 13, 2014, due to higher than normal bacteria count.
All three swimming areas in Orillia are now open for swimming. This includes Moose Beach and Portage Bay, located at J.B. Tudhope Memorial Park, and Couchiching Beach, located at Couchiching Beach Park.
