Overnight Parking Restrictions Start November 15

The City of Orillia reminds residents that parking is prohibited on any municipal street or parking lot between the hours of midnight and 7:00 a.m. from November 15, 2014 through April 15, 2015.
Illegally parked cars can delay or impair the City’s snow plowing or sanding operations. This prohibition is in effect whether it is snowing or not. All illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and/or towed.

Maclean’s magazine’s 2015 University Rankings place Lakehead University second among Ontario’s primarily undergraduate universities. When compared to all Canadian universities in this category, Lakehead rose two spots from last year to rank eighth.

For immediate release (October 23, 2014) – With the approach of Election Day (Monday, October 27) the City of Orillia Election Team is preparing for what will be a very busy day across the city.
Six Advance Votes took place over the last two weeks, giving those unable to attend on Election Day an opportunity to cast their ballots. A total of 2,904 voters turned out ahead of Election Day, representing a 30% increase in Advance Vote turnout over 2010.
