Innovative cooperation creates downtown incubator space

Not everyone can afford to have an office in the heart of downtown Orillia. Until now.
Entrepreneurs Mariano Tulipano and Robb MacDonald, who have been friends since 1993, have teamed up to create a unique downtown incubator of sorts. The pair have refurbished an 800-square foot commercial space in one of the city’s oldest buildings and are offering up the area to fellow entrepreneurs.

Lakehead University professor Sandra Jeppesen feels like she has hit the jackpot, winning almost $500,000 in research funding from the federal government.

Orillia is currently ranked 12th in the province out of 179 communities for the most Culture Days activities scheduled for this coming weekend.
