Before he was old enough to drive, Justin Rich purchased a 1978 Grand Prix and spent his spare time “souping up” his prized vehicle.

For immediate release (Jan. 28, 2014) – This winter season Orillia has experienced a significantly higher amount of snowfall than in recent years. City crews first concentrate on clearing roads. When there is a break from falling snow, staff then turn their focus to cutting down banks.

Parks, Recreation and Culture Program Cancellations

All city-run classes and leagues that are held at Lions Oval Public School, Orchard Park Public School and Regent Park Public School have been cancelled for this evening due to the weather.
These classes and activities include: Playball, Floor Hockey and Gymnastics.
All other Parks, Recreation and Culture programs will be running.

Final workshop for Hillcrest neighbourhood park

The City of Orillia is moving forward with developing a neighbourhood park on the former Hillcrest School site.
The second and final public workshop will build on the first workshop, which was held on Jan. 23, 2013. The City’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department would like resident input on the final concept plan that has been developed for the future park site.

New North American Production of Hair begins in Orillia

Orillia will be the first to experience the exciting new production of the Broadway musical legend Hair before it embarks on its North American Tour from Jan. 24 to May 11, 2014.
