Temporary trail closure

In order to complete the construction and servicing of the North Lake Subdivision on Laclie Street, the City of Orillia will be temporarily closing a small portion of the Millennium Trail which runs parallel to Huronia Road between Hughes Road and Wilson Point Road. The trail will be closed effective Monday, July 21, 2014 to Friday, August 29, 2014 as a safety precaution to accommodate this work. For immediate release (July 16, 2014) – Simon Looker of Orillia is the winner of $500 worth of Downtown Dollars after participating in the Orillia and Area online shopping survey.
The survey was sponsored by the Downtown Orillia Management Board, the Orillia District Chamber of Commerce and the City of Orillia’s Economic Development Office.

Seven groups awarded in second round of 2014 grants

For immediate release (July 14, 2014) – Mayor Angelo Orsi and Councillors Andrew Hill, Pete Bowen and Wayne Gardy were on hand to present the second installment of 2014 grant awards to seven worthy community organizations at the Orillia City Centre this morning.

The fourth annual Orillia and Lake Country Business Expo scheduled for Oct. 23, 2014, is already receiving an overwhelming response and registration is just beginning.
