Date set for annual Orillia spring job fair

The Annual Orillia Spring Into Action Job Fair will be held Tuesday, March 4th at the Orillia Square Mall. Organizers are currently accepting employer registrations for this event.

The City of Orillia would like to remind residents not to let any unidentified person into their home for a water meter reading.
On Jan. 30, 2014, the City received a report of a man asking to gain entry into a Lakeview Avenue home for a water meter reading. Coldwater Road ESR Notice of Completion

In order to implement transportation infrastructure improvements identified in the City of Orillia 2011 Transportation Master Plan Update, the City is proposing widening of Coldwater Road West from 200 m east of Collegiate Drive to West Street North.
The City has planned this project under Schedule C of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. The Environmental Study Report has been completed and by this Notice, is being placed in the public record for review. Subject to comments received...

For immediate release (Jan. 28, 2014) – This winter season Orillia has experienced a significantly higher amount of snowfall than in recent years. City crews first concentrate on clearing roads. When there is a break from falling snow, staff then turn their focus to cutting down banks.
