Matthew Telford built his Grade 4 science fair project himself. It was an electric motor made of wood, copper wire and a battery.
His dad, Tony, owns Orser Electric, but he didn’t ask for help.
If he was stuck, he would have asked for help, but he was able to work through the process himself, he recalled.

The Orillia Manufacturers’ Association (OMA) is proud to have awarded the first annual OMA Scholarships to two talented young students this month. For immediate release (July 25, 2013) – The City awarded $10,750 to seven local organizations in the second installment of Orillia’s 2013 grants program on July 25, 2013.
