Over 30 Employers Expected to Attend Orillia Job Fair

With the Orillia ‘Spring into Action’ Job Fair less than a week away, many local employers are busy preparing for the event, which will take place at the Orillia Square Mall on Tuesday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Participating employers are offering a range of opportunities such as health care, lawn care and maintenance, seasonal tourism and manufacturing. Postings also represent a diverse set of skill requirements from entry level to highly skilled positions.

Local businesses are invited to join world-renowned Scotiabank Chief Economist Dr. Warren Jestin, when he visits the City of Orillia on Thursday, March 7th at 10:30 a.m. in the Council Chamber at the Orillia City Centre on Andrew Street South.

St. Lawrence College, in partnership with Geogian College, Orillia Campus and Northern Lights Canada, is presenting an eight week pre-construction training program that will:
- provide you with the skills employers are looking for. You will graduate with well-rounded
- knowledge, practical skills and pertinent certifications including WHMIS, 1st Aid/CPR, Confined
- Space, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Fall Arrest.

For the sixth year in a row, Orillia has ranked among Ontario’s top 10 investment communities, according to a recent report by the Real Estate Investment Network (REIN).
