New inflatable obstacle course to debut at Orillia Recreation Centre

For immediate release (May 11, 2022) – An exciting feature will soon make a splash at the Orillia Recreation Centre as the City’s new Wibit water obstacle course makes its debut on Sunday, May 22.
The Wibit is a floating inflatable obstacle course and playground that will be temporarily installed in the lap pool at the Orillia Recreation Centre for special events such as “Wibit Sundays.” The Wibit was purchased through grant funding as part of the legacy from the Orillia 2020 Ontario Winter Games.

The 2nd instalment of the 2022 Interim Tax Bill is due and payable May 15, 2022. Ratepayers are reminded that penalty is added to all past due instalments or part thereof as follows:
- 1¼% added on the first working day following the due date and
- 1¼% per month thereafter beginning June 1, 2022.
Failure to receive the tax bill does not relieve the property owner from payment of taxes or liability for penalty for late payment. Payments for both Tax & Water Bills are accepted at most financial institutions....

The City of Orillia is seeking input on how it can further support the community’s needs pertaining to diversity, equity and inclusion through an online survey and two public forums taking place this month.
Residents and organizations are invited to take part in one of two roundtable public forums on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Programming Room at the Orillia Public Library.
