Labour Day Holiday Schedule 2024

City of Orillia administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024, for Labour Day. This includes:

• Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.)

• Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.)

• Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.)

• Water Filtration Plant (200 Bay St.)

• Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.)

Hours of operation for other City facilities/services include:

Orillia Transit/OWLS: No service on Monday, Sept. 2.

Orillia Recreation Centre (255 West St. S.): Open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Back to school, back to safety reminders for school crossing zones

For immediate release (Aug. 27, 2024) – The City of Orillia is reminding residents to play it safe when school resumes on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024.

“With back to school, more people will be on our streets walking, cycling or driving to school,” said Mayor Don McIsaac. “I urge everyone to obey pedestrian signals and crossing guards, to reduce speeds in school zones, and to stay alert.
