Due to parking lot maintenance at Leacock Care Centre, the following transit detour will be implemented and in place on August 8, 2024 only:

South A Route: the South A Route will not have access to the Leacock Care Centre parking lot. As a result, the transit stop located in the parking lot will be unavailable for the duration of the parking lot maintenance.

Orillia Recreation Centre annual pool maintenance begins Aug. 17

For immediate release (Aug. 7, 2024) – The City of Orillia would like to remind community members and visitors that the natatorium (aquatic area) at the Orillia Recreation Centre will be undergoing annual maintenance beginning on Aug. 17, 2024.

Please note that Brant Street will now be closed on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to repair a sewer lateral.

• Detour is in place: Laclie Street to Jarvis Street to Parkview Avenue.

Couchiching Beach swimming advisory issued July 30, 2024

For immediate release (July 30, 2024) - The City of Orillia has received notice from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that a swimming advisory has been issued for Couchiching Beach, located at Couchiching Beach Park, due to a higher-than-normal bacteria count.

Civic Holiday Schedule 2024

City of Orillia administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024 for the Civic Holiday. This includes:

• Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.)

• Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.)

• Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.)

• Water Filtration Plant (200 Bay St.)

• Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.)

Hours of operation for other City facilities/services include:

Orillia Transit/OWLS: No service on Monday, Aug. 5.

Orillia Recreation Centre (255 West St. S.): Open 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
