Celebrating Easter Safely during the COVID-19 Pandemic
We implore Orillia citizens to adhere to physical distancing and other measures and restrictions in place during the holiday. Virtual gatherings or events are still the safest way to visit or recognize occasions with people outside your household. We encourage you to use video conferencing apps to connect during Easter. If that is not possible, then use the telephone to connect. Families should not visit any other household or allow visitors in their homes. Individuals who live alone and single parents may consider having exclusive, close contact with another household to help reduce the negative impacts of social isolation. Maintain 2 metres (6 feet) of physical distancing from everyone outside of your household (who you do not live with). For those who would like to attend an Easter service, some places of worship may be planning virtual services.
