UPDATE: April 8, 2020 City offering registration for summer camps with zero upfront charge
In an effort to help parents and families during the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Orillia Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is offering registration for its popular summer camps with no upfront charge.
“We know these are very uncertain times for families and we want to give them an opportunity to reserve a spot in our summer camp programs without carrying the financial burden of doing so at this time,” said Mayor Steve Clarke. “We are hopeful that our concerted efforts to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 virus will mean Orillia is able to offer its summer camps starting in July, but as with everything right now, we are monitoring the situation closely and will reevaluate as we get closer to the summer.”
Effective April 9, 2020 customers can register in City of Orillia day camp programs and will not be required to pay for their registrations until two weeks prior to the start of the camps they are enrolled in. In order to set up $0 registrations, customers are required to have a credit card. If you do not have a credit card, please contact the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department at 705-329-7250 to arrange the mail-in cheque option. To register, visit orillia.ca/sun.
The City of Orillia has cancelled all Spring 2020 recreation programs. Refunds will be provided to customer accounts for future use in our recreation programs. If customers would prefer a refund to their original method of payment, please contact the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department at parks@orillia.ca.
