The City’s Recreation Advisory Committee (RAC) would like to hear from you and other members of the public on the naming of the new Orillia Recreation Facility at an open house on April 20, 2017.

What:Orillia Recreation Facility naming open house

When: Thursday, April 20, 2017
6-8 p.m.

Where: Tudhope-McIntyre Boardroom
First Floor, Orillia City Centre
50 Andrew St. S

Join RAC and staff from the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department to discuss the naming opportunities for the five major components (site/parkland, building, aquatic centre, gymnasium, fitness centre) of the new Orillia Recreation Facility now under construction at 255 West St. S.

Should the names reflect a geographic location, community neighbourhood or honour the historical significance or unique characteristics of a place?  Or perhaps, the names should honour individuals, living or deceased, who have made significant contributions to our community?

Take part in the conversation, have your say, and join us at the open house.
