2020/2021 Holiday Schedule

Orillia City Centre (50 Andrew St. S.):
The Orillia City Centre will be closed from 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020 through Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. No marriage or lottery licences will be issued during this time. Beginning on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, the Orillia City Centre will be open by appointment only due to the province-wide shutdown.

Municipal Operations Centre (20 James St. W.), Wastewater Treatment Centre (40 Kitchener St.) and Water Filtration Plant (200 Bay St.): These locations remain closed to the public due to COVID-19. Staff will not be available to answer email or phone inquiries due to holiday closures. See hours below:

Dec. 24: Closed at 11:30 a.m.
Dec. 25, 26, 27, 28: Closed
Dec. 29, 30: Open
Dec. 31: Closed at 11:30 a.m.
Jan. 1, 2021: Closed
Jan. 4, 2021: Regular hours resume 

Waste Diversion Site (100 Kitchener St.)
Dec. 24: Closed at 3 p.m.
Dec. 25 and 28: Closed
Dec. 29 and 30: Open (regular hours)
Dec. 31: Closed at 3 p.m.
Jan. 1, 2021: Closed
Jan. 4, 2021: Regular hours resume 

Holiday Waste Collection (Garbage, Recycling, Green Bin)
There will be no recycling or green bin/yard waste collection on Friday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day) and no garbage, recycling, or green bin/yard waste collection on Friday, Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day). Collection will be delayed by one day each week. Please refer to the revised schedule below:

Christmas tree collection runs from Dec. 28 through to Jan. 15. The regular collection schedule will resume Jan. 4, 2021. Orillia Opera House (Administration and Box Office)
Dec. 24 to Jan. 1: Closed  
Jan. 4, 2021: The Orillia Opera House will remain closed to public access due to the province-wide shutdown. Contact the Box Office at 705-326-8011 or visit orilliaoperahouse.ca.

Stephen Leacock Museum
Dec. 23 to Jan. 3: Closed
Jan. 4, 2021: The Stephen Leacock Museum will remain closed to public access due to the province-wide shutdown.

City of Orillia Recreation Facilities
Barnfield Point Recreation Centre is closed to public access.
Brian Orser Arena will close on Dec. 24, 2020.
Rotary Place and the Orillia Recreation Centre are open for pre-booked recreation activities until Dec. 24, 2020.
All recreation facilities will be closed on Dec. 25 and remain closed as of Dec. 26, 2020 due to the province-wide shutdown.

Dec. 24, 25, 26, 31 and Jan. 1, 2021: Closed

Orillia Public Library (36 Mississaga St. W.)
Dec. 24: Open 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Dec. 25, 26, 27, 28: Closed
Dec. 29: Open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for curbside pick-up only
Dec. 30: Open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for curbside pick-up only
Dec. 31: Open 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. for curbside pick-up only
Jan. 1, 2021: Closed

Orillia Transit/OWLS
Dec. 24: Service ends at 7:45 p.m. (final departure downtown)
Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1: No service
Dec. 31: Service ends at 7:45 p.m. (final departure downtown)
Jan. 2, 2021: Regular service hours resume

Orillia Farmers’ Market (at the Orillia Public Library)
Dec. 16 and 23: Special Christmas Market! 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Dec. 26: No Market
