Mandate and Purpose |
The Accessibility Advisory Committee is mandated by the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001, and is governed by Chapter 110 of the City of Orillia Municipal Code. The purpose of the Accessibility Advisory Committee is to provide City Council with recommendations related to the identification, removal and prevention of barriers to persons with disabilities within our community. It is also responsible for making recommendations on the annual updating of the City of Orillia's Multi-Year Accessibility Plan. |
Membership |
The Accessibility Advisory Committee consists of seven members: five citizens, one representative from the Age-Friendly Orillia Advisory Committee, and one member of Council. |

The Accessibility Advisory Committee meets on the third (3rd) Thursday of the Month with the exception of February, July and December at 3:00 p.m. in the Orillia City Centre. |
