The Administrative Services team of the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is responsible for the administration for all parks, recreation facilities, and programs.
Specific responsibilities of Administrative Services team include:
- Oversee daily operation of the software for facility and program management and bookings
- Report to City Council
- Maintain and oversee the S.U.N. System
- Develop the department budget
- Liaise with the public and other organizations
- Produce the quarterly Recreation Program Activities Guide
- Participate in public awareness
- Develop and implement policies
- Recruit, select and train staff
- Provide staff resource for Trails for Life Committee, Recreation Advisory Committee, Joint Health and Safety Committee, and Labour/Management Committee
