Meeting Rooms Available
There are four meeting spaces at the City Centre that are available for public use:
- The Council Chamber, located on the main floor, can accommodate up to 135 people.
- The Brooks meeting room, located on the main floor, can accommodate up to 25 people.
- The Tudhope-McIntyre meeting room, located on the main floor, can accommodate up to 50 people.
- The Everitt meeting room, located on the second floor, can accommodate up to 25 people.
Meeting Room Rules
- The three meeting rooms are available at no charge (one day/week) for non-profit organizations using the facility during the day (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) There is a fee for other users and for all who use the facility after hours.
- Booking requests are considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Non-profit organizations must provide their registration number at the time of the booking.
- A cancellation fee of $56.00 will apply to those who cancel with less than 48 hours notice.
- The applicant must sign a booking agreement and is responsible for set-up and clean-up of the meeting room and any damage caused by the user or any person attending the function.
- If you want to use the audio and/or video systems in the Council Chamber, please advise staff at the time of booking. The applicant will be responsible for visiting the City Centre at a pre-arranged time prior to the rental date/event for instructions on the use of this equipment.
- Food and drinks are not permitted in the gallery of the Council Chamber.
- These facilities cannot be rented for functions of a fund-raising or paid attendance nature.
- If the activity on City property is to be advertised to the general public or if the general public is encouraged to attend, the user is required to produce a certificate of insurance in an amount not less than one million dollars, naming the Corporation of the City of Orillia as an additional insured for the period of the activity stated on the facility permit.
