Engineering and Transportation

The Engineering and Transportation Division of Development Services and Engineering is responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of municipal services to the citizens of Orillia. The Division is composed of the following areas:

Engineering and Transportation (General Inquiries:  705-418-3226)
  • Master Plans related to transportation
  • Design and implementation of City signs (stop signs, etc.) streetlights, traffic signals and school zone flashing lights
  • Road and Transportation system engineering and construction
  • Traffic Calming
  • Engineering standards and policies
  • Geographic Information System (GIS) Management, drafting, design and map plotting
  • Engineering Bids and Tenders
Transit (General Inquiries:  705-325-3975)
  • Administration of Conventional Transit
  • Orillia Wheelchair Limousine Service (OWLS)
  • Sale and Distribution of transit tickets and passes
  • Orillia Transit advertising on interior and exterior of buses
 Site Servicing (General Inquiries:  705-418-3206)

Administering plan review and inspections for site works including storm sanitary, water, lot grading and storm water management
 Municipal Parking Lots (General Inquiries:  705-325-3975)

Administration of Municipal Parking Lots
