City Facilities

The responsibilities of the City Facilities staff with the Community Services Department are listed below.
- Manage and maintain ice surfaces at Rotary Place, Brian Orser Arena, and Barnfield Point Recreation Centre
- Manage and maintain the Orillia Waterfront Centre, Regan House and the Orillia Recreation Centre
- Manage and maintain multi-purpose rooms, auditoriums, and meeting rooms
- Manage and maintain picnic shelters, gazebos, greenhouses, and other structures
- Manage and maintain 10 public washroom facilities at various parks
- Liaise with various special event operators and community organizations
- Operate and manage food concessions at Rotary Place, Brian Orser Arena, Couchiching Beach Park, and Kitchener Park
- Liaise with restaurant tender holder at Bayside Restaurant
- Manage and oversee all advertising at facilities and sports field, including rink boards, wall panels, score clocks, and in-ice ads

The City of Orillia is currently developing its Climate Change Action Plan (CCAP), titled Orillia's Climate Future. The plan will chart the course for the municipality to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and enhance the community’s resilience to future changes in climate.
