Project Description:
This project is intended to provide a new above-grade water standpipe at the Harvie Hill Reservoir site, and includes the construction of a standpipe foundation, the standpipe itself, new watermains, a control building, and electrical, control and process mechanical equipment. The existing reservoir will be taken off-line, though retained for use in an emergency. The project encompasses the construction of the first of the three additional water storage tanks that were proposed in the 2022 Water Master Plan conducted by Tatham Engineering. Due to structural concerns with the existing reservoir that limits its storage capacity, along with a projected storage deficit in a post-2050 buildout scenario, constructing three new standpipes at the Harvie Hill site was recommended.
