Planning Fee Schedule 2021

Looking for planning information? Help stop the spread of COVID 19; give us a phone call or send us an email instead. All planning information can be provided via phone or email. We also offer meetings by video. Phone us at 705-325-1870 or email us at planning@orillia.ca to get your planning information or make your in-person/virtual appointment today.
As of January 4, 2021, appointments are currently required for all in person visits to Orillia City Centre.  To book an appointment, visit orillia.ca/onlineservices.

The below fees will be affective as of January 1, 2021.

If assistance from experts or professionals is required to evaluate, review and/or report on an application, then the applicant is responsible for any and all costs associated.

All Fees are subject to an automatic increase, effective January 1st of each year, based on the Ontario Consumer Price Index (All-Items) issued in October of the preceding year.

Printable Planning Fee Schedule

Preconsultation Fee

Preconsultation is required for all Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, Draft Plan of Subdivision or Condominium, and Site Plan Control applications. To initiate the mandatory Preconsultation process, you must submit a Concept Site Plan and the pay the applicable fee. This Preconsultation is only valid for one year. A new Preconsultation must be submitted and fee paid if the planning application is not received within one year of the Preconsultation.

For concurrent applications, only one fee will be applicable (at the highest applicable rate). City staff will determine if the Preconsultation is Minor or Major for Site Plan Approval.
