A division of the Engineering and Transportation Department, Site Services is responsible for:
- Reviewing and commenting on engineering submissions for new development
- Preparing, monitoring and enforcing Development Agreements for new development
- Reviewing lot grading plans for Building Permit Applications
- Development and consultation of the City's Engineering Design Standards & Specifications
- Reviewing and approval of Site Alteration Permit Applications. Frequently Asked Questions and Site Alteration Permit Exemption Checklist documents were created to assist with the process. The full Site Alteration By-law is available online.
Engineering Design Standards and Specifications:
Recently revised in 2015, the design criteria manual was created to assist developers by providing easy access to guidelines for land development, ensuring uniform design throughout the Municipality. Innovative technological changes that improve or maintain the quality of the design on a life cycle cost basis may be considered at the discretion of the City.
