Project Description |
The City undertook a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) to consider options for the widening of West Street South to support the connection between downtown Orillia and Highway 12 and to meet the needs of anticipated population and employment growth and traffic demands, including active transportation. The preferred option selected through the MCEA process was as a three lane cross section with bicycle lanes. The detailed design is underway, anticipated to be completed in early 2022, with construction starting in the summer of 2022. |
