Employment and Workforce

Orillia is home to many exciting employment opportunities, including Orillia's three largest employers; the Ontario Provincial Police General HeadquartersOrillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital and Casino Rama. In addition, the education sector is growing in prominence thanks to the development of Lakehead University's campus in Orillia, combined with sustained growth and Georgian College's Orillia campus and the continued popularity of the OPP's training academy. These institutions bring stable, higher-skilled jobs, as well as a consumer (student) population and will help to stimulate growth for years to come.

As the needs of the workforce change, Orillia has the ability to adapt and its workforce has options. Both the Orillia campus of Georgian College's Centre for Career and Employment Services and Agilec can help with customized training and courses to help workers and companies alike.
