Name the Plow Contest 2024 Winner
After hundreds of votes cast by the public, the City of Orillia is excited to unveil the winning name for its newly painted snowplow: Catch My Drift.
Public Works Week Open House Event - May 25, 2024
The City of Orillia hosted its first Public Works Open House on May 25, 2024. Activities at the open house included tours, large equipment displays, games, paint the plow and the kick-off to the City’s first Name the Plow contest.
Through the event, attendees donated 168 lbs. of food and more than $325 in monetary donations to The Sharing Place Food Centre.
A special thank you to Harvey’s Orillia for hosting a free community barbeque for attendees with all the proceeds going to The Sharing Place Food Centre.
The event took place as part of National Public Works Week, which was celebrated from May 19 to 25, 2024.
