Ice in Orillia

Orillia's West Orillia Sports Complex features a state-of-the-art twin-pad arena at Rotary Place. In addition to those two NHL-sized rinks, Brian Orser Arena has a single ice surface. The City also operates the Barnfield Point Recreation Centre, Orillia's home base for curling. To book ice time, please visit the Booking a Facility or Park page or contact the Permitting Clerk at 325-325-3506 or bookings@orillia.ca. Please note that you cannot book ice on the outdoor ice rinks.

Brian Orser Arena

Built in 1974, this arena was originally called Twin Lakes Arena. Its name was changed in 1984 to honour Olympian Brian Orser, who learned his world-class form at the Gill Street rink. In the winter, the south-ward facility is used primarily by Orillia Minor Hockey, Orillia Girl's Hockey, and the Orillia Figure Skating Club, in addition to area schools and recreational hockey leagues. There is also public skating available. In the summer, the facility is primarily used by the Orillia Minor Lacrosse Association.
