Planning for a Connected Future with a new Transportation Master Plan
The City of Orillia is creating a new Transportation Master Plan (TMP) to guide the development of a safe, efficient, and inclusive transportation network. Let's talk about streets and sidewalks, and how we can better get around our City.

November 19, 2025 - Notice of Commencement has been issued.

| The TMP will guide future planning to improve how people move through the City by enhancing streets, sidewalks, and connections to key destinations and spaces. |
| Phase 1 – Existing Conditions and Policy Review (Winter 2025) |
| Staff will review the current transportation network along with all relevant transportation-related policies. |
| Phase 2 – Public Engagement (Winter 2025 to Winter 2026) |
| Consultants and staff will gather feedback from the public about how they use the city's transportation network. |

| Public engagement event to hear from the public, learn more on how to share your thoughts. |
| Transportation Master Plan Survey launches December 3, 2025 |
| Share your thoughts through the TMP Survey, opening on December 3 for two weeks. |
| Vision, Problem and Opportunity Statement (Winter to Spring 2026) |
| Identify the needs, challenges, and opportunities within the existing network. |
| Develop Solutions (Spring 2026) |
| Staff will develop potential solutions and alternative designs to improve the current network. |
| Finalize Study (Summer 2026) |
| A final Transportation Master Plan will be prepared, incorporating information and feedback from all phases. |

Drop in on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Orillia Recreation Centre
Everyone is invited, bring the whole family! City staff will be running free activities for children, parental supervision is required. Learn more about and provide your input. Your participation will help the study team identify transportation related opportunities, challenges, and needed improvements for the community.
